Indian batter KL Rahul has been given a moment to cherish for his fans as he returned to action for the first time after his surgery. The batter underwent an indoor net session and it’s fair to say that it won’t be long before we see him on the field again donning the national jersey.

KL Rahul got injured during the fag end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He tore a tendon in his right leg and then was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament. In his absence, Krunal Pandya took charge and the team reached the Eliminator.

KL Rahul’s injury seemed worse than expected as he then had to undergo surgery and missed the ICC World Test Championship Final followed by the ongoing West Indies tour. He has been going through harsh recovery sessions at NCA. Although he has started batting there’s no certainty when will he return to the Indian team.

ICC World Cup 2023: KL Rahul ruled out the Asia Cup 2023: – Reports

Recently a report in the Cricbuzz suggested that KL Rahul has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2023 as he won’t be able to attain full fitness till the time tournament begins. It is learned that BCCI is targeting his return around the ICC World Cup 2023.

With no certainty over Rishabh Pant’s comeback, KL Rahul becomes extremely important for the team in the middle order. He has been India’s crisis man in the ODIs and therefore him getting fully fit ahead of the World Cup will be a massive boost for the team.
