Pakistan, on Friday (September 22), announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. The marquee event is scheduled to be played from October 5 to November 19 in India as the country gears up to host the ODI World Cup alone for the very first time.

Pakistan will be visiting India for the first time since 2016 when they visited the country for the T20 World Cup. The Men in Green are one of the favourites for the World Cup even though they performed poorly in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan crashed out at the Super 4 stage after suffering crushing defeats against India and Sri Lanka.

But despite those two defeats, Pakistan are widely considered one of the favorites to win the World Cup. They have a strong squad for the upcoming tournament as they look to end their long wait for the ODI World Cup title. Pakistan have not won the coveted title since Imran Khan led them to their first-ever World Cup title in 1992.
