Indian Bowling Has Been Excellent- Anjum Chopra
During an interview with TOI, former India captain Anjum Chopra was asked about her views on India’s bowling lineup. Chopra feels that Indian bowling has been excellent.
“Indian bowling has also been excellent. We have already seen what Siraj has done. It’s just about one person shining on each day and whether it’s Bumrah, whether it’s Siraj, whether it’s Shardul, whether it’s any of the spinners doing the job for the team.
It’s a very nice and experienced team getting into this World Cup. You can say enough matches are there behind every player,” Anjum Chopra said.
During the Asia Cup 2023 final, Mohammed Siraj came up with a 6-wicket haul against Sri Lanka. Bowling them out for just 50, Indian bowlers gave a magnificent show of their bowling strength. Siraj currently holds No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI rankings.

Mohammed Shami picked a 5-wicket haul in a recent ODI game against Australia. Ravichandran Ashwin also picked a 3-wicket haul in an ODI against Australia, which forced selectors to pick him as a replacement for injured Axar Patel in ICC World Cup 2023.
Kuldeep Yadav was excellent in Asia Cup 2023, picking a four-wicket haul and five-wicket haul in two games. Yadav is also the leading wicket-taker for India in ODIs this year. Jasprit Bumrah has not arrived with a stunning show in any game after his comeback. However, he has got wickets in most of the games and also bowled at a low economy. Hence, he too owns a good form.
