Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been declared fully fit and now he can compete in India’s next ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 clash against New Zealand National Cricket Team.

Star fast-bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya hurt his shoulder during the high-profile clash against Pakistan National Cricket Team on Sunday. Hardik was immediately taken for scans after he received a blow on his shoulder during the game.

Hardik Pandya was hit on his right shoulder while batting. He has now gone for scans,” the BCCI’s media team had informed.

Talking about the match, for the very first time, Pakistan were able to defeat India in the World Cup encounter, the Babar Azam-led side completely outperformed Virat Kohli-led India and won the one-sided match by 10 wickets. Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan (79*) and Babar Azam (68*) chased down the target of 152 comfortably.

Speaking to ANI, sources in the know of developments said that the Indian all-rounder was feeling good and the scan was just a precautionary measure taken by the management considering the match against Pakistan was only the first match of the tournament.

There is no issue and he is already feeling good. It was just a precautionary scan and the team management didn’t wish to take a chance as yesterday was only the first game of the tournament,” the source said.

Notably, Hardik Pandya was not fully fit to do the bowling in India’s opening fixture against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and he was playing as a pure batsman in the team.

Pandya was given the responsibility to play the role of a finisher in the team. However, the 28-year-old was unable to deliver a good performance as he was able to contribute only 11 runs off 8 balls batting at number 7, his inning was filled with 2 fours.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli-led India will lock horns with Kane Williamson-led New Zealand on Sunday, October 31.
