Kyle Coetzer-led Scotland will face India in their next fixture of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai on November 5.

Scotland’s journey to the Super 12 was a roller coaster ride as they had to defeat Bangladesh, the strongest team in their group in the qualifiers stage before sealing comfortable wins against Oman and Papua New Guinea.

Although, Scotland have lost both of their matches against Afghanistan and Namibia in Group 2 of the Super 12 stage, they will push their chances to upset one of the heavyweights (Pakistan, India and New Zealand) in their remaining three fixtures.

Scotland skipper Coetzer said that their upcoming game against India will be one of the biggest game for the team and also is waiting for the moment to share the field with his counterpart Virat Kohli

That game is going to be the biggest (for us at the T20 World Cup), if not the biggest that Scotland has ever played. Standing next to Virat at the toss will be a special occasion to anyone, not just myself. He is an idol of the game, a stylish man the way he scores his runs,” Coetzer was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

Never got opportunity to have conversation with Virat Kohli: Kyle Coetzer

While speaking about his meetings with New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, Coetzer said that he has met him over few occasions but it is Kohli with whom he never got a chance to talk.

“I was fortune enough to bump into him in the lift earlier today. I have had occasions in the past to spend some time with him and have a chat. But Virat Kohli is someone I haven’t had any opportunity to have a conversation with. Look, we want to play hard, trying to push India as hard as we possibly can on the day. But we have to be realistic,” Coetzer said.

India play against New Zealand on Sunday in Dubai and both teams will look to find a win after going down to Pakistan in their respective opening games.
