Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has taken a dig at the England and Australia fans for the low attendance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 clash between the high-profile teams.

Eoin Morgan won the toss and invited the Aussies to bat and the Australians were off to a horrible start having lost 4 wickets in 7 overs. Pacer Chris Woakes bowled the second over and he was to pick the wicket of David Warner in the second delivery.

Also in the third over Chris Jordan dismissed Steven Smith. The Aussie batsman played a very poor shot trying to drag the ball way outside by off stump and was caught on mid-on by Chris Woakes. Chris Woakes then came to bowl and dismissed man in-form Glenn Maxwell in the 4th over. Also star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis was dismissed by Adil Rashid on a duck in the 7th over.

Australia and England are two of the top sides in the World Cup and they are the favourites to win the championship. However, not many fans were seen enjoying the game live in the stands and there was very low attendance and a lot of empty seats at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Highlighting the low attendance in the stadium Wasim Jaffer took to Twitter to troll England-Australia fans. He wrote:

Some call #AUSvENG the biggest game in World cricket. And understandably so. They’re arch-rivals with huge history. But just one thing I don’t understand, why have most fans come dressed as empty chairs? ? #T20WorldCup21
