Watch: Pakistan Fans Scream 'Security Security' As They Tease New Zealand After Their Loss In The T20 World Cup 2021

A viral video of a few Pakistan fans screaming ‘Security Security’ has spread like wildfire on social media after Pakistan handed New Zealand their maiden defeat at the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Notably, Pakistan and New Zealand took on each other on Tuesday at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium.

Pak skipper Babar Azam won the toss and invited the Kiwis to bat first. However, a stellar bowling performance from Haris Rauf and the entire Pakistan bowling lineup ensured that the BlackCaps were restricted to 134 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. In response, the Men in Green chased the target with 8 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand to go on top of their group.

Pakistan Fans Mock The New Zealand Cricket Team

Notably, the New Zealand National Cricket Team had travelled to Pakistan to play an ODI and a T20I series in the month of September. This was New Zealand’s first visit to the subcontinent nation after December 2003. However, just as the two teams looked set to battle it out for the first time in the series, the New Zealand Cricket Board withdrew from the entire tour on concerns over the team’s security.

This move handed a massive blow to Pakistan as their efforts to bring Cricket back to the country was halted. After that incident, the entire Pak clan was annoyed with how New Zealand pulled out at the last minute and this also led to the cancellation of England’s tour of Pakistan which was slated to take place later.

After Pak’s win over the Kiwis in their second game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, some of the Pak fans didn’t miss out on the opportunity to go hard at the Kiwi players as they were seen screaming ‘Security Security’ at the top of their voices as the Kiwi and Pak players shook their hands after the game.

Pakistan In Driver’s Seat After Win Over The Blackcaps

The Men in Green are now in a comfortable position after topping their group by beating two of the most competitive teams not only in their group but in world cricket. In their first match, the Men in Green beat their arch-rivals India comprehensively by a 10-wicket margin and then later came back to haunt the Kiwis as they won the game by 5 wickets.

In the present scenario, they have to face Afghanistan, Scotland, and Namibia and they look all set to confirm a top-four finish in the ICC T20 World Cup.
