Harshal Patel is one of the pacers who has been picked in India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. However, after his return post recovery from injury, Harshal Patel has managed to showcase the fabulous form which he held earlier.

Upon his return, Harshal Patel played 2 T20Is against Australia in the ongoing series and has failed to get any wicket in any match while bowling. Moreover, he also conceded a lot of runs in both games. In IND vs AUS 1st T20I, he was carted away for 49 runs in his 4 overs. In the 2nd T20I, he conceded 32 runs in his 2 overs.

Mohammed Shami is another player who could have been a better option than Harshal Patel in the India squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Shami was overlooked for Asia Cup 2022 and with India’s poor pace attack in the tournament, selectors opted to consider Shami back in the T20I circuit.
