ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Allan Donald Hints At Changes To Bangladesh's T20 World Cup Squad

Bangladesh Cricket Team currently is in tatters. The Bangladeshi Tigers haven’t been able to perform according to their credentials. The team has failed to make a mark in the ongoing Tri-Series where they have been completely outplayed by both Pakistan & New Zealand.
The team would be aware of the fact that they had a disastrous ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The exclusion of Mahmudullah from the squad was quite questionable. At the same time, the sudden retirements of Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim have done no good to the team.
Allan Donald on Bangladesh
Allan Donald was having an interaction with reporters and was asked about the team. “I think there might be a chance that (15-member World Cup squad) could be changed and that is probably why they brought two extra guys with and we have that time, don’t we? We have few more days to sort that out before we depart for Australia.” said Donald.
“Sriram is looking at a lot of combinations where he feels he needs to be accurate and especially tomorrow to have one more last look and see what he needs to do and find the right people to go and do their job so it’s never an easy thing. It’s a contrast trust me as a coach sitting up there you are never sure what is the right combination.” he added.
Problems Aplenty for Bangladesh
The Skipper Shakib needs to take responsibility and bat up the order. The skipper needs to pull his socks and lead the team by an example. The management is playing musical chairs which is not at all a good sign as it disturbs the team dynamics.
Bangladeshi Tigers are no longer under-dogs but currently they are playing like that. Bangladesh’s arsenal is spin bowling which won’t be a case in Australia. It would be interesting to see how the team performs in ICC T20 World Cup after a below par performance.
