Rohit Sharma and Co are all geared up for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, starting from October 16 in Australia. The 2007 champions will once again hope to emulate the success and lift the coveted trophy in Down Under.
Earlier yesterday, all the captains of the participating nations took part in a press conference and addressed numerous questions. India skipper Rohit Sharma too spoke about Jasprit Bumrah’s injuries and recalled the moment when he was first picked in India’s T20I squad.

Suryakumar Yadav can be the X-Factor for India, reckons Rohit Sharma
Speaking at the media interaction, Rohit Sharma revealed, “When I was picked up for that tournament, I had no understanding as that was my first tournament. The game has evolved since then. If you see how it’s being played now. Back then, 140 was a good score, now teams get that in 14 overs.”
When asked about India’s talismanic batsman Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma said, “Surya is in great form, hope he keeps on batting well in the middle order. He is very confident. Whenever he plays he changes the game. Hope he becomes the ex-factor.”

India will be ready by the time the Pakistan fixture happens, assures Rohit Sharma
Speaking about Bumrah’s injuries and how the Indian team will function in his absence, the Indian skipper stated, “You can’t show disappointment to injuries, you need to look forward to what we can do. We have backed our other boys and we are backing them. Hope they deliver.”
