ICC T20 World Cup 2022: ICC Announces Match Officials For Summit Clash Between England And Pakistan

The World Cricket is going to witness a fascinating contest on 13th November( Sunday) in the form of England vs Pakistan. England made a quick turnaround after losing against Ireland; whereas Pakistan took a giant step after losing against Zimbabwe and astounded the World Cricket

Both these teams have been exceptional throughout the tournament and their progress in the tournament has been quite a fairy-tale. England would be pumped up after winning against India where they decimated the opposition. Pakistan on the other hand was quite brilliant as defeating New Zealand was never easy.

ICC Announces Match Officials for Final

Umpires Marais Erasmus and Kumar Dharmasena would be the on-field umpires at the iconic MCG. Chris Gaffaney will be the TV Umpire whereas Paul Reifel would be the fourth umpire. All these umpires will have a strenuous task on their hands as we can expect a thrilling contest at the MCG.

Exciting Contest On Cards

Just before the start of the marquee tournament, England and Pakistan had played 7 T20I Match Series in Pakistan where England had won the Series by 4-3. If we go by that, then England has an upper hand in this final as quite a few senior players were not a part of that series. England’s advantage is that they have got a very long batting lineup where they can easily surprise the opponent. It would be interesting to see whether Malan and Wood are fit for that clash as the duo has been quite pivotal to the team’s success.

Pakistan on the other hand would be banking not only on Babar & Rizwan but on their pacers as they have shown good control in testing times. All eyes would be on Shaheen Afridi as the pacer’s resurgence has made Pakistan a dangerous unit. Skipper Babar Azam once again will have to make sure that he holds one end and bats long in a high-voltage match. The World Cricket would witness a cracker of the contest as both the teams are evenly matched
