Indian Cricket Team currently is high on confidence. The Men in Blue defeated Australia & South Africa T20I Series. The team has rediscovered his mojo and is looking threatening. With the T20 World Cup just steps away, the team looks like a powerful unit.

India would be aware of the fact that they can’t get complacent as the conditions and pitches would be completely different. The Indian Cricket Team has a very bad habit of falling apart in ICC events. Since 2013, India hasn’t won a single ICC tournament which raises a lot of questions about their preparation.

Nasser was having an interaction with Sky Sports and was asked about India’s performance in ICC tournaments. “India’s issues have been ICC events really. They have been going around beating everyone, with a variety of players, they have rotated and rested. But the truth is that they have played some timid cricket in world events, like almost gone into their shell. They definitely played some fearful cricket in the last World Cup, especially in the powerplays.” said Nasser.

“India have got to keep the hitting potential. Suryakumar Yadav has been in unbelievable form. They are missing two great cricketers in Jadeja and Bumrah. They have got to keep the same mindset they have had in the bilateral events.” he added.

Crucial T20 World Cup for India

ICC T20 World Cup 2021 was a disastrous one for India where they were knocked out in the first round itself. Since then, a lot has changed; under the new leadership of Rohit Sharma & Rahul Dravid, the team has been quite invincible apart from the Asia Cup 2022 tournament.

BCCI would be aware that India hasn’t won ICC T20 World Cup since the inception of IPL in 2008. The problem with Indian Cricket Team is that they are not quite consistent in ICC tournaments which is hurting them. The billion people would be hoping that the team puts up a fight this time.
