Pakistan Cricket Team registered a convincing victory over South Africa. The Men in Green now have won 2 matches out of 4 and still have a thin chance of qualifying for the Semi-Finals. Babar Azam, the skipper was spot on with his captaincy as he rotated the bowlers quite brilliantly.
The openers Babar and Rizwan once again failed to score any significant runs. This time, Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed played magnificent knocks and took the team out of the muddle. Both the batters struck half-centuries and were toying with the bowlers.
Babar Azam on Pakistan
Babar Azam was seen in a post-match presentation and was asked about the team’s performance.“Very happpy with the way team performed. Rizwan and I were not up to the mark, but the way Haris played, he’s a different player and shifted the momentum. Then Shadab and Ifti were outstanding in finishing the innings.” said Babar Azam.
“These are our best players and everyone is ready to play. Everyone is a match winner. The first two matches were close losses, but we have given 100% in the last two matches and you never know, cricket is a funny game, we hope for the best.” he added.
Chance for Pakistan
Pakistan would be hoping that Zimbabwe defeats India on 6th November 2022 as a lot depends on that clash. Pakistan is due to face Bangladesh which would be an exciting contest where Pakistan would be aware that they can’t get complacent.
The management would be hoping that the duo Babar and Rizwan fire and make their presence felt. Babar and Rizwan haven’t been able to cope with the pace and bounce. Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq would be hoping for a staggering performance against Bangladesh.
