ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Pakistan's Usman Qadir Ruled Out Of Tournament, Fakhar Zaman Added As Replacement

Pakistan Cricket Team would be riding him on confidence after winning Tri Series. The Men in Green would be pumped up as this tournament triumph would give them a huge amount of confidence.  The team so far, as usual, has been reliant on Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan but Mohammad Nawaz has played a couple of blinders for the team.

Pakistan would be hoping that they find a couple of more match-winners like Nawaz. Pakistan would have gotten ample practice as in Christchurch, the boundaries were long. It would be interesting to see whether Pakistan continues its winning momentum in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

Fakhar Zaman Comes into the Team

The dashing batter Fakhar Zaman has been included in the squad as the leg spinner Usman Qadir is injured. The left-handed batter wouldn’t have thought he would get a chance after a below-par Asia Cup 2022. Shan Masood who had come into the team had a below-par outing and now there are chances that Fakhar may replace him.

The absence of Usman Qadir can hurt Pakistan as Usman could have provided variety to the attack. There’s no doubt that Pakistan has got Shadab & Nawaz but they are getting predictable. It would be interesting to see whether Babar uses Iftikhar which can prove to be quite risky.

Pakistan On a Roll

After losing T20I Series against England, many had written off Pakistan. That series proved to be the wake-up call for Pakistan because now the team looks hungrier for success than ever. The team has to work on consistency as in a short tournament, a couple of losses can end their journey.

Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq and Bowling Coach Shaun Tait would be happy with the bowler’s performance. Haris Rauf, in particular, has been impressive. The right-arm speedster has shown immense control and it won’t be wrong to say that he would be one of the key members of the team.
