ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Ramiz Raja Slams Critics Following Questions Over Shoaib Malik's Exclusion From Pakistan Squad

Pakistan Cricket Team has been facing a middle-order crisis for a lot of time. All the hard work of Babar Azam & Mohammad Rizwan is going in vain as the batters are unable to accelerate at the back end of the innings. The management would be aware that alone Babar & Rizwan can’t win the marquee event.

Pakistan needs to stick to one combination as playing musical chairs is not a good option when the T20 World Cup is around the corner. The likes of Shadab Khan should bat at the No.4 position. The all-rounder can prove to be a surprise package for the opponent team.

Ramiz Raja on Shoaib Malik

PCB Chairman was having an interaction with Geo News and was asked about Shoaib Malik. “Humlogo ne pichle T20 me kiya tha, mujhe koi problem nehin hain. Mere jo philosophy hain na cricket ki aur achhi team ki woh yeh hain ki ek consistency chaiye selection main. Dusra, aapko captain ko strong karna chaiye,” said Ramiz Raja.

Humrahe bench main koi Lionel Messi nehi baitha huya hain, aur humne ekdom hi raddi players ko rakha hain. Humare options limited hain. And isiliye option ko barane kiliye and talent pool ko increase karne kiliye junior level ke upar bohot kaam kar rahein hain.

“May be iss wqat hit and miss hain…but mera philosophy wohi hain ki captain ko strong karna chaiye. Unko aap options de ki kin players ko khilana chaiye,” he added.

Unpredictable Pakistan

Pakistan has shown that they can fox any team on a given day. The Men in Green would require consistency in the marquee tournament as a couple of losses are enough for them to get knocked out.

Pakistan would be hoping that Shan Masood has a good tournament. The left-handed batter has been quite successful in PSL but so far he hasn’t found the rhythm in T20Is. It looks like Pakistan is going to apply horses for courses theory.
