The Sri Lanka Cricket team has made a stellar come-back in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. The Island Nation convincingly defeated UAE in the Group A of the Qualifiers. The team produced a contrasting performance as they were completely outplayed by Namibia in the opening match.
Sri Lanka would be hoping to take a leaf out of their recent Asia Cup 2022 triumph. The team had won against all odds and made a statement that they are not done yet in World Cricket. The 2014 T20 World Cup Champions would be hoping to avoid embarrassment in their next match against the Netherlands.

Sri Lanka name Replacements
The team had got an injury setback in the form of Dushmantha Chameera and Danushka Gunathilaka. Both players have been ruled out of the tournament. Kasun Rajitha and Ashen Bandara have been named as replacements for the two players. Both these players were a part of traveling reserves.

Crucial Contest for Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka’s next match against the Netherlands is a do-or-die contest. The team will have to be at its best against the Netherlands as the Dutch have been unbeaten so far. Sri Lanka has got the wood over the Netherlands as in T20 World Cup 2021, the Island nation had thrashed them.

Netherlands should consider as a do-or-die match too because the NRR (Net run rate) is 0.149. Both the teams will get a clear idea of what they need to do as their match is after Namibia vs UAE. We could be in for a fascinating contest as the Netherlands is looking threatening.
