ICC T20 World Cup 2022: Umran Malik And Kuldeep Sen's Departure To Australia Delayed Due To Visa-Related Issues- Reports

Pacer bowlers Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen, who were picked as the net bowlers for the Indian team as they prepare for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, are facing problems with their visas which has delayed their departure as well, reports have suggested.
Umran Malik, who caught the attention of the cricketing world by bowling the fastest delivery in IPL’s history by an Indian when he touched the 157 kmph-mark, has already made his debut for India in T20Is recently against Ireland and also played against England as well. Madhya Pradesh’s Kuldeep Sen, who played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022, has impressed one and all with his pace and accuracy as well.
Initially, Umran, Mohammed Siraj, and Sen were scheduled to fly with the India squad to their training base in Perth on October 6. However, Siraj got picked for the ODI series against South Africa and Umran had to miss the flight due to visa issues.
Umran Malik And Kuldeep Yadav Both Preparing For The Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy- Reports
As per reports, both are now preparing for the domestic T20 tournament, the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy which began a couple of days ago.
22-year-old Umran Malik has reportedly gotten an exemption from the Indian cricket board to join the Jammu and Kashmir squad for SMAT. He has now joined the team in Mohali for the Elite Group C match against Meghalaya.
Kuldeep Sen, on the other hand, has not confirmed whether he would feature for Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture against Rajasthan in Rajkot on Tuesday.
Now there is no clarity or update on when Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen will board the flight to Australia and there is also no clarity on how many matches they will play for their respective sides in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy, though Umran is certain to play against Meghalaya.
It is now expected that the two will travel to Australia with the standby players in Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Chahar, Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi on October 12.
