IND vs BAN: India Are Here To Win The T20 World Cup; We Will Try To Create An Upset By Defeating Them – Shakib Al Hasan

Bangladesh National Cricket Team skipper Shakib Al Hasan has said that the India National Cricket Team are one of the favourites to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. He added that the Bangla Tigers will try to create an upset by defeating Rohit Sharma & Co. in Adelaide.

The 35th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will be played between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh National Cricket Team at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday, November 2.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, the Bangladesh skipper admitted that his side will be heading into the match against India as underdogs. He said:

“India are favourites. They are here to win the World Cup. If we beat them then it will be upset and we will try to create an upset. We are not the favourites going into the match.“

“It is a little difficult as we played our first game in Hobart, especially for teams coming in from the sub-continent. It will be a good contest and I think our team will enjoy it,” said further Shakib.

Shakib Al Hasan further said that Suryakumar Yadav and Arshdeep Singh will be the Indian players to watch out for in the match. He labelled Suryakumar Yadav as one of the best batters in the world.

“Suryakumar Yadav is playing really well. He is one of the best batters. I saw Arshdeep for the first time In IPL and he is bowling really well right now. We have not done a team meeting but we will do that. We will make our plans. Some will work and some won’t work and that’s how the game is.” mentioned the Bangladesh captain.

Shakib Al Hasan also said that all the players in the Indian team are absolute match-winners. He stated:

“All eleven players in the Indian team are good players. They are really good and that is why they are playing in the Indian team.”

Shakib further talked about the role of Sridharan Sriram in the Bangladesh National Cricket Team and said:

“S Sriram has done well. He came up with a plan. In this short term, he has done something very well for our team which is a young side.”

“Weather conditions are extreme and it is tough to adjust but as professionals, we need to adjust to these conditions,” said Shakib referring to the cold and damp conditions in Australia.
