England Cricket Team registered a thumping victory over India. Mighty England chased down 169 runs in 16 overs with 10 wickets in hand. Due to this win, England now has a great chance to win their 2nd T20 World Cup Title. England is all set to clash against Pakistan on 13th November which promises to be a fascinating contest.

England started their innings in a grand fashion as the openers scored 63 runs. It looked as if the batters were toying with the bowlers as they never allowed any bowler to settle down. Alex Hales made the most of his experience of playing in Australia(Big Bash League).

Skipper Jos Buttler played a scintillating knock of 80 runs in 49 balls where he struck 9 fours and 3 sixes. The peculiarity of Buttler’s knock was that he didn’t panic even after playing a string of dot balls. In the later part of the innings, he was in beast mode and wrapped up the game quite quickly.

Indian Cricket Team would be dejected as they didn’t show any fight. The captaincy of Rohit Sharma should be questioned as the skipper looked quite frustrated with the bowling. The decision to give Arshdeep Singh a solitary over in the power-play over was quite questionable.

I Think The Character We Have Shown Has Been Amazing- Jos Buttler

During the Post-match presentation, Buttler was asked about the team’s performance.  “I think the character we have shown since then (England’s loss against Ireland) – it has been amazing. We came here very excited, there was a very good feeling. Everyone from 1 to 11 – stood up today. We always want to start fast and aggressive. Rashid was batting at 11, that’s incredible to know that we have such depth,” said Buttler.

Hales used the dimensions well – Jos Buttler

“Hales used the dimensions well and he has shown his form. He was brilliant today. It’s important to enjoy this, it was a brilliant performance from us. I think we need to give special credit to Jordan, to bowl 3 overs at the death coming into the semi-final, it was a tough job. He handled the pressure towards the end pretty well, especially bowling against a world class player like Hardik Pandya,” he concluded.
