IND vs ENG: "I'd Want To See India Win, Particularly Against Pakistan": Ab de Villiers

South African cricket icon AB de Villiers has played with and against the current players of the team that is representing India in the Men’s T20 World Cup currently taking place in Australia for more than ten years in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
De Villiers expects India to win the T20 World Cup by defeating Pakistan in the final because his native South Africa was unable to go past the semifinals.
“I would like to see India win, obviously against Pakistan, it is the biggest final in the town. India’s biggest obstacle I think will be the semifinal,” AB de Villiers told the media on the sidelines of a press conference to announce the Last Man Stands India Super League to be held in March next year.
AB de Villiers believes England will present a significant obstacle for India in the semifinal matchup on Thursday.
“England is a dangerous team. I believe they have everything in their arsenal to win the World Cup. So, if India can get past them, I believe they would fare well in the final.”

AB de Villiers, who has personally been involved in a few such situations, said that Rohit Sharma’s team will face a significant test in the semifinals.
“I’ve played in two World Cup semifinals, so I understand how difficult it is, It’s a pressure situation where you win some and lose some,” remarked AB de Villiers.
When de Villiers asked his followers to vote on the teams they wanted to see in the title game’s final on Monday, a resounding majority chose an India vs. Pakistan matchup. Against Wednesday, the first semifinal has Pakistan taking on New Zealand.
He identified India’s key players as in-form hitters Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli.
“Surya is in good condition, and Virat is in good condition.” So it will come down to the bowlers in the big game, and if they all perform well, I see India playing in the final and winning,” de Villiers said.
Indian Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against mighty England in the Semi Final on 10th November (Thursday). The Men in Blue are high on confidence after winning 4 matches out of 5 in the Group Stage.
