Team India is preparing for the forthcoming match against the Netherlands in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup after securing an impressive victory against Pakistan.

With their first practice on Tuesday, the group got right to work. During a Tuesday net session at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SGC), Indian captain Rohit Sharma appeared to be in good form. ‘Chasemaster’ Kohli and opener KL Rahul had a productive net session while batting at the renowned SCG.

As they prepared for their second T20 World Cup encounter, the bowlers and batters put in a lot of effort during the tough practice session.

Rahul and Dinesh Karthik competed in the nets against Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin throughout the session. Along with Kohli, Karthik practised throwdowns. Vikram Rathour, the batting coach, and head coach Rahul Dravid kept a close eye on everything that took place.

The management’s worries about the openers’ deteriorating form would be lessened when Rahul and Rohit played some clean drives and appeared in excellent form. Rohit, who dropped a crucial catch against Pakistan on Sunday, put in a lengthy and intensive drill session in the nets. Also observed playing several deliberate shots in the nets was Rishabh Pant.

Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya among others boycotted the practice in order to rest. In the meanwhile, the bowlers bowled the hard lengths in the nets. Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal both rolled their arms over.

The Netherlands will play India in the next match, which is slated to take place at Sydney Cricket Ground on October 27.
