“Kohli is the complete Indian batsman”: Greg Chappell
Legendary cricketer Greg Chappell praised former India captain Virat Kohli, praising him as the greatest Indian batsman of all time. Chappell made his comments after Kohli scored a magnificent inning at the MCG against Pakistan under the leadership of Babar Azam.
The Indian team’s talisman batsman scored a quick-fire half-century to prevent a rare batting collapse under Rohit Sharma.
“Kohli is the complete Indian batsman I’ve ever seen. Only the most powerful champions have the fortitude and intelligence to take their imagination beyond the mortal level. Kohli possesses it. Perhaps only Tiger Pataudi has come close to reaching such heights,” Chappell said in his Sydney Morning Herald column.
India defeated Pakistan in a nail-biting last over by 4 wickets as Kohli remained unbeaten on 82 off 53 balls. Due to his outstanding batting performance, the 33-year-old was chosen Player of the Match.
