Dale Steyn, a former South African bowler, and analyst think the explosive combo of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje can take South Africa to win its first T20 World Cup title in 2022.
The pair completely destroyed Bangladesh’s batting order in Proteas’ final encounter against Bangladesh, helping the team win by a huge margin of 104 runs while taking a combined five wickets.

Given that the competition is being held in Australia, the seam bowlers are probably going to inflict more destruction because the wickets there frequently offer extra pace and bounce to help the bowlers control the game. As per Steyn, this is one such factor that might have a significant impact on the team led by Temba Bavuma’s goal of winning the championship on November 13 in Melbourne.
“Rabada is the attack’s mastermind from South Africa. He is my other fast bowler from South Africa, and I’m hoping we can win this World Cup together. I think the two of them working together are just wonderful,” Steyn was quoted as saying by the ICC.

“They have got great pace, they have got good skill, especially in Australia. Rabada seems to be up a level whenever he gets to Australia, so am looking for that competitive streak to come out of him, and the two of them can go on and help South Africa to win this World Cup,” Dale Steyn added.
“Mark Wood from England is a personal favorite of mine”: Dale Steyn
Dale Steyn, a former Proteas speedster, listed Mark Wood third in his ideal fast bowling lineup for the T20 World Cup, behind the duo of Rabada and Nortje. The 39-year-old praised the English bowler and declared him to be his favorite English bowler.
“Mark Wood is a favorite of mine from England.” I saw him the other night and he told me he’s going to bowl well. I believe he is the first fast bowler to bowl all 24 balls in a four-over spell at 140 km/h.”

“He didn’t appear to bowl a single slower ball; he was simply outstanding. He wants to rush batters, bowls a great yorker and a fantastic bouncer, and I think Mark Wood will take England all the way,” Dale Steyn said.
The former South African pacer chose Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan and Mitchell Starc of Australia to round out his choice of the best five bowlers in the present T20 World Cup.
