Indian Cricket Team is on a roll at the moment after winning consecutive matches in the marquee tournament. The Men in Blue look quite invincible as the team has rediscovered his mojo. The team would be slightly worried about the form of KL Rahul as the right-handed batter has looked scratchy.

The Men in Blue would be quite aware of the fact that South Africa would be quite competitive. South Africa is coming back after a comprehensive victory against Bangladesh as once again they are looking ominous.

Vikram Rathour On KL Rahul

Batting Coach Vikram Rathour was seen in a pre-match press conference and was asked whether Rishabh Pant will replace KL Rahul. “No, no (laughs). We are really not thinking like that. Two games, I don’t think is a good enough sample size anyway. He (Rahul) is been batting really well, he has been batting really well in the practice games. So, we are not looking at such things at all.” said Vikram.

“Only eleven can play, unfortunately in the team. I understand Rishabh Pant is an extremely good player. And we have seen what he can do in a match against any opposition. So, we are telling him to stay on standby. Opportunity can come any time.” he added.

Great Chance for India

India will most likely seal the Semi Final berth if they win against Proteas. The team once again would be banking on Virat Kohli to guide the batters in the middle overs phase. It would be interesting to see whether the Men in Blue continue their attacking approach as smashing South African bowlers won’t be easy.

South Africa on the other hand would be looking to spoil the party of a billion people. Proteas have shown that they can be ruthless on a given day. The dashing batter Rilee Rossouw can single-handedly decimate the opponent with his swift stroke play.
