Geelong is all set to host match 10 of the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers between Namibia and the UAE on October 20. Namibia beat Sri Lanka and lost to the Netherlands. Meanwhile, UAE have lost both of their games so far. This is a must-win game for Namibia to stay in the reckoning for the Super 12s. 

There are 8 teams part of the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. They are Sri Lanka, West Indies, Namibia, Netherlands, UAE, Scotland, Ireland, and Zimbabwe. Out of these 8 teams, only 4 will qualify for the super 12 round.

During the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, a total of 12 matches will take place. Group A teams will play one match with the other teams in the group. Similarly, Group B teams will play one each against the other teams of the group.

Since there are 4 teams in each group, each team will play 3 matches during the qualifier round. After the end of the qualifier round, the top two teams in Group A and Group B points table will qualify for the super 12 round. Two teams will join Group 1 of the super 12 round while the 2 other teams will join Group 2.

Geelong has hosted four games so far. All four games have been played for full 40 overs. A few of the warm-up games at some other venues have been cancelled due to rain. This is not the regular cricket season in Australia and thus there is rain around in the country.

So far Geelong has hosted two matches with Namibia scoring 164 in the first game and The UAE vs Netherlands game seeing a below-par total being chased down in the final over of the match. In the last match between Sri Lanka and UAE, the Lankas scored 152 and bowled out UAE for just 73 winning by 79 runs.
