The T20 World Cup final, according to former Pakistani speedster Mohammad Amir, was an accomplishment for a squad that didn’t deserve to be there in the first place. Amir added that he was aware that once they left Sydney, the Pakistani batsmen would struggle.
At the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday, Pakistan’s batting lineup had a difficult time scoring enough runs to win the game. The Men in Green only achieved 137 points, with Shan Masood leading the way with 38 off 32. England prevailed by five wickets despite the effort of their bowlers.

The Fact That We Played In The Final Is A Big Thing: Mohammad Amir
Amir told 24 News that Pakistan’s failure to get to the final was a result of their own play and that he wasn’t shocked to see their batters struggle.
“The fact that we played in the final is a big thing. We didn’t deserve to play in the final. The whole world knows how we advanced to the final. Allah helped us reach there. You will get to know the results if you look at the performance of our batters.”

He added:
“Once we got out of Sydney, it was given that this would happen. I told you earlier that if the pitch at MCG is the same as it was in the first match, Pakistan will struggle, and we did. After winning the toss, we got off to a good start, and we knew how the conditions were.”
Pakistan’s World Cup campaign was a complete disaster that began with losses to India and Zimbabwe.
Despite decisive victories over South Africa and the Netherlands, they still had a difficult path to the semifinals. Pakistan defeated Bangladesh to advance to the knockout rounds, where they defeated New Zealand in the final four, while the Dutch upset South Africa.
Along With Intent, You Also Need To Have Sense: Mohammad Amir Criticises Mohammad Haris

In addition, Mohammad Amir criticized Mohammad Haris for attempting to topspin Adil Rashid early in his innings. The former bowler stated that it is difficult for rookie batsmen to adjust to the track. Ben Stokes’ game-winning innings, Amir praised, adding:
“We talked about Haris and his intent. But along with intent, you also need to have sense. On the first ball, he faced off Adil Rashid, he tried to come down the track. On these pitches, you can’t leave it to someone else. The new batter will struggle. Ben Stokes showed that experience and game awareness.”
During the powerplay, England lost three wickets, but Stokes helped England win. With an over remaining, the left-hander scored the winning runs while still being unblemished on 52 off 49 pitches.
