Pakistan Cricket Team registered a convincing victory against New Zealand. The Men in Green won the match by 7 wickets with 5 balls remaining and now are one step closer to winning the Championship. The team was quite clinical with their performance as it never looked like that they are out of the match.

New Zealand on the other hand, would be dejected as this time their bowlers and fielding let them down. They dropped 3 catches which proved to be costly and the fielding was also not up to the mark which was quite strange. The Black Caps had a terrific tournament but failed in the crucial junction of the match.

Matthew Hayden on the Final

Matthew Hayden was seen interacting with Broadcasters and was asked about which team will progress to the final. “I would like to face India. Just because of the pure spectacle of pretty of much a third of the population all tuning in at the same time. That is fantastic. Can you just imagine, let’s cast our mind forward a couple of days, should India beat England, It will just be crazy chaos in Melbourne. But tonight was very special.”

Babar Azam Shines

Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam finally ended his poor run as the batter smashed a knock of 53 runs in 42 balls where he struck 7 fours. The right-handed batter was dropped on 0 by Devon Conway; but later he was in full swing. The peculiarity of Babar’s knock was that he rotated the strike quite frequently due to which there was no added pressure on him.

Rizwan and Babar frustrated the Kiwis and they were quite brilliant in the power-play overs. Pakistan managed to score 55 runs in the power-play overs where half of their job was done. The duo was involved in a mammoth opening partnership of 105 runs and it looked as if they were toying with the bowling unit. Skipper Kane Williamson made a mistake by not giving an over or two to Neesham as he could have surprised the Pakistani batters.
