During the 16th over of the first innings, Kohli and Shakib got into a disagreement over a no-ball call. On the last ball of the 16th over, Hasan Mahmud bowled a short-pitched delivery to Kohli and the Indian batter pulled it towards the long leg. As soon as Kohli played the pull shot, he extended his arms towards the square leg umpire, to let the umpire know that it was too high. Also, the umpire made the decision in India’s favour and declared it a no-ball as it was the second short ball off the over.

Shakib was seen unhappy over the no-ball call and Kohli’s move to indicate to the umpire that the delivery was too high. Shakib came in from extra cover and got into an argument with Kohli and the umpire. Both the players were seen having a chat for a few seconds and the situation was diffused soon.
