South Africa

South Africa, also known as the Kiwis made their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2007.

Appearing in 8 editions of the T20 World Cup, one of the strongest yet the unluckiest team of the format became the semi-finalists in 2009 and 2014 losing to Pakistan and India respectively.

Still, with the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, South Africa team remains a tough competitor for other teams in the format.

Now, in the 9th edition of the tournament, South Africa’s Captain Aiden Markram eyes the World Cup for yet another time and looking at the South Africa ICC T20 World Cup team, it looks strong as a contender to win the cup.
