The South Africa women' cricket team represents South Africa in international women's cricket. They are also called Proteas and are governed by Cricket South Africa (CSA). South Africa is a full member of the ICC and has Test, ODI and T20I status.

In 1960, South Africa women's cricket team played its first Test against England and became the fourth team to play at that level. However, their journey in international cricket was halted abruptly because of the sporting boycott of South Africa. As a result, they did not play in international cricket from 1972 to 1997.

South Africa women's cricket team finally resumed their journey in international cricket in 1997 when they played their first-ever ODI, against Ireland. In the same year, they also participated in the women's cricket World Cup for the first time and has played in every edition of the tournament since then. Their best performance in the World Cup is semifinal appearance in 2000 and 2017.

South Africa played their first T20I against New Zealand in 2007. They have participated in every edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Their best performance in the competition is the runners-up finish in 2023.
