The competition between bat and ball has been enthralling to watch in the ongoing ICC World Cup Test Championship (WTC) Final between India and Australia at The Oval in England. After being dominated by the Aussies on the first two days, the Rohit Sharma-led have made a decent comeback in the ongoing Day 3.
Ajinkya Rahane (89) and Shardul Thakur (51) led the fightback for the team after they were reeling at 152/6. The duo stitched 109 runs for the 7th wicket and helped India avoid the follow-on. Based on their superlative batting performance, the Indian team ended with a total of 296 runs on the board.

The umpires were in favor of Australia’s appeal and termed it out. But Mohammed Siraj immediately went for the review. The Australian team, however, didn’t wait for the ball tracker and went back into the dressing room. The ultra edge showed a spike and Australia players had to rush back to the field.

ICC World Test Championship Final: India Start Second Innings On High
After ending their innings with a total of 296 runs, India started the second innings on high as Mohammed Siraj removed David Waner for just 1 run. They ended the post-lunch session on high as they troubled Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne with the lethal deliveries.
Umesh Yadav made sure that India continued the momentum as he struck right after the tea and removed Usman Khawaja. It’s safe to say that Australia are quite ahead in the game but wickets here could keep them in the game.
