Young Indian cricketer Shubman Gill created a new world record during the second ODI of the three-match series against Australia at home. Shubman Gill surpassed former South African cricketer Hashim Amla’s record of scoring more runs after 35 innings in ODI cricket.

Shubman Gill has made an impressive start to his international career and is on his way to achieving new heights in his cricket career. The right-handed batter has been going through one of the best phases of his cricketing career, setting multiple records across formats.

The 24-year-old has been sensational with the bat this year, scoring more than 1200 runs in ODIs. He scored his maiden double-hundred against New Zealand earlier this year. He has the opportunity to break Sachin Tendulkar’s (1894) record of most runs in a calendar year.
