Fans on X reacted after Indian opener Shubman Gill slammed a magnificent century in the ongoing second game against Australia. The match is taking place at Holkar Stadium in Indore, where India were asked to bat first after losing the toss. 

India lost Ruturaj Gaikwad (8) early in the innings. However, after that, it has all been about the duo of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer (105). The duo outplayed the Australian bowlers and smashed them all over the park, registering 200 runs for a partnership. 

Shubman Gill was watchful in the start as he took his time early on to set in. However, once he got his eye in, he looked a class apart. The opening batter played some breathtaking strokes and took the attack to the Australian bowlers. He continued his golden touch as after registering a half-century in the first game, he went on one step ahead this time around. 

Shubman Gill looked in complete control of his innings as he played shots with full authority and made a mockery of opposition bowlers. During his innings, he also became the first batter to score 1900 runs after 35 innings in ODI history. He surpassed Hashim Amla to achieve the feat. 

Shubman Gill smashed his ton in 92 balls and also smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes. With the way he’s batting, he looked set for another big knock. India would be hoping he continues till the end and take them to the gigantic total. He also became the fastest Indian batter to hit 6 ODI tons. He ended his knock with 104 runs off 97 balls.
