India have completely asserted their authority over Australia in the ongoing second ODI at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. After the carnage by Shubman Gill (104) and Shreyas Iyer (105), captain KL Rahul has taken the onus on himself.
KL Rahul came out all guns blazing after Shreyas Iyer got out. He went from the word go and took Australia bowlers to cleaners, playing some staggering strokes. However, one strike by him took many by surprise as he sent ball into the orbit.
KL Rahul hit Cameron Green for a gigantic 94m six in the 35th over. The Australia all-rounder bowled a length delivery that was into the slot. The Indian captain got into the position early and smacked it over deep mid-wicket. The ball went out of the stadium and not only fans but Shubman Gill, who was at non-striker’s end, enjoyed it.

KL Rahul, who smashed an unbeaten half-century in the first game, continued from where he left off. He made sure that he didn’t allow Australia to take the momentum after the wickets of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer.
KL Rahul raced to his 30s in no time. With the way he’s taking the attack to Australian bowlers, he too looks set for a big knock. Being the captain of the team, he would also be eyeing the 400-run mark as India are well placed for that.
Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer set the platform for KL Rahul and others with their brilliant hundreds
India lost the toss and were asked to bat first after losing the toss. They didn’t have an ideal start as they lost Ruturaj Gaikwad (8) early in the innings. However, after that, it was all about the duo of Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer. The duo outplayed the Australian bowlers and smashed them all over the park.
Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer slammed magnificent tons and added 200 runs for the second wicket. While Gill hit 104 runs, Iyer ended with the knock of 105 runs. They set the platform for captain KL Rahul and other batters to take India to the big total.
