Both Shubman and Shreyas Iyer have played some magnificent strokes and have taken the Indore stadium by storm. The duo have put Australia bowlers under tremendous pressure and have complimented and praised each other well for the shots.

One of the instances came when Shubman Gill hit a gigantic six off Adam Zampa in the 11th over. It was a fullish delivery to which the batter leaned across and lofted it over long-on for an 89m six. Shreyas Iyer was mighty impressed by the shot and praised his partner.

Shubman Gill, however, after that raced to his fifty as he played some sensational strokes. The batter continued his golden touch and smashed his second consecutive half-century of the series. With the way he’s batting, he’s looking set for a big ton.

After Shubman Gill reached his half-century, Shreyas Iyer too slammed a magnificent half-century. It was a much-needed knock for him. The batter was under the scanner after he got out early in the last game. He came back from the injury in the Asia Cup but after two games, he had a back spasm and missed the rest of the tournament.

Shreyas Iyer’s form however was among the few issues for India going into the ICC World Cup 2023. However, with the way he has batted in the ongoing game, the questions will now to put to rest. The batter would be hoping to convert it into the century.

Both Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer have stitched over 130 runs in partnership. With the way they are batting, India look set for a big score in Indore.
