IND vs ENG Day 3 Weather Report and Pitch Report of Dharamsala Test, 2024: The 5th Test of the five-match series between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Ben Stokes-led England National Cricket Team is currently underway at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
India have already sealed the series 3-1, but the 5th Test holds importance considering the ICC World Test Championship points. India are currently at the top of the ICC World Test Championship Points Table with a PCT of 64.58. A win in the fifth Test would help India consolidate their top spot in the rankings.
Talking about the Dharamsala Test, the Indian team have dominated the first two days of the match and are currently the clear favorites to seal a win and finish the series with a lead of 4-1.
The Three Lions won the toss and elected to bat first in the match, but failed to justify the decision. Only Zak Crawley fired with the bat while the rest of the batters got dismissed after getting off to good starts.
England got bundled out for 218 in 57.4 overs as the Indian spinners dominated with the ball. Kuldeep Yadav took a 5-wicket haul, Ravichandran Ashwin got 4 wickets while Ravindra Jadeja bagged one wicket.
India next came out to bat and Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma stitched up a century partnership. At stumps on Day 1, India finished with 135/1 on the board with Rohit Sharma (52) and Shubman Gill (26) unbeaten in the middle.

Speaking after Day 2, Jeetan Patel, England’s spin coach, said that they expected help from the pitch but they didn’t get it.
“It was hard day, a grafting day. We thought the wicket might offer a bit more this morning and it didn’t really – maybe the older ball got soft. The boys worked really, really hard and they got their rewards at the end of it,” added Patel.
“We’ll have to get these two wickets first. Once we get them, we can work out where the game is at. By the end of tomorrow, we should work out what sort of position the game’s in and where we can possibly take it.
“We’re relentlessly positive and we’re going to have use that again tomorrow and the day after that.”
The statement of the England coach hints that the pitch in Dharamsala is still good to bat and it might not be easy for the bowlers to pick wickets. However, there is a possibility of pitch assisting the bowlers as the match progresses. So it will be important for the Indian tailenders Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah to add as many runs as possible in the first session and help India take a big lead.
Talking about the weather report in Dharamsala on Saturday, March 9, the temperature is expected to be 13° in the morning. The probability of precipitation is 0% and the probability of thunderstorms is also 0%. There is also a 0% chance of cloud cover, hence, a full day of play would be possible in Dharamsala.
