Team India batsman Rinku Singh has shared a post on his official Instagram handle with young wicketkeeper batter Dhruv Jurel.

Jurel made his Test debut in the third IND vs ENG Test match and showed amazing batting skills by playing an innings of 46 runs from 104 balls. Jurel impressed with his batting performance in the third game and he played a fighting knock of 90 runs from 149 balls in the fourth Test being played at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi.

India were reeling at 171/6 and lost top batsmen such as Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal in reply to England’s first-innings score of 353 runs. Dhruv Jurel put up a stand of 76 runs from 202 balls for the 7th wicket and helped the hosts reach 307 runs.

Rinku Singh has now come with an Instagram post through which he went on to laud Dhruv Jurel’s daring batting effort in Ranchi. Rinku wrote, “mere bhai, sapane saakaar karane ka samay aa gaya hai (My brother, it’s time to make dreams come true.).”

Rinku Singh has been splendid for India in the T20I format. Rinku made his debut for the ‘Men in Blue’ after his exploits in the Indian Premier League 2023.

The southpaw played the role of the finisher with ease and won many games for the Kolkata Knight Riders, scoring 474 runs from 14 games at a strike rate of 149.53. The left-handed batter has scored 356 runs at an average of 89.00 from 15 T20Is for India, with 2 half centuries. Rinku has been playing the role of the finisher well and takes on the bowlers from the first ball.

On the other hand, Dhruv Jurel also garnered headlines due to his performance in the IPL 2023 for the Rajasthan Royals. Playing at number 5 and 6, Jurel smashed 152 runs from 13 games at a strike rate of 172.73.

Getting back to the IND vs ENG fourth Test match, India were all out for 307 runs in their first innings in reply to England‘s 353 runs. Dhruv Jurel missed a well-deserved ton by just 10 runs but received a standing ovation from the whole JSCA Stadium crowd and his teammates in the dressing room.

England lost their first wicket for just 19 runs when Ben Duckett was removed by Ravichandran Ashwin for 15 runs. Ollie Pope was caught in front of a golden duck by Ashwin, the troubles increased for England, when Joe Root had to walk back for 11 runs from 34 balls by Ashwin. Root smashed a ton in the first innings and was unbeaten on 122 runs.

The tourists would be hoping to put up a massive score on the board and put India under the pump on Days 4 and 5. It would be tough for Rohit Sharma and Co. to chase down in the second innings as the pitch will become more helpful for the spinners on the last two days of the match. Also, the Indian batsmen have struggled to play against the English spinners and fell off badly in the first game.

With India having a 2-1 lead in the series, the fourth Test will become even more interesting to watch.
