Private Life Has Come First – Nasser Hussain
Nasser Hussain has supported Kohli’s decision to prioritize his personal life after years of continuous cricket. He expressed confidence in KL Rahul’s ability to step up in Kohli’s absence, citing his recent excellent performances across formats for India.
“But Kohli and his family and his private life has to come first, so it’s a blow for India, but as we’ve seen, they’ve got a lot of very good young batters. But KL Rahul, who was injured for the last game, played brilliantly in the last few months for India and in all formats. I think he’ll come back in, so he’ll add to their batting,” he added.
Virat Kohli opted out of the first two Tests of the ongoing series due to personal reasons. The 35-year-old is reportedly set to miss the third and fourth matches in Rajkot and Ranchi, respectively. His participation in the remainder of the red-ball series remains uncertain.
