Watch: Timber! Kuldeep Yadav gets better of Ben Stokes with a ripper

Kuldeep Yadav is proving out to be the difference for India in the ongoing Test match against England. The fourth game of the five-match Test series between the teams is taking place at the Jharkhand Cricket Association complex in Ranchi. 

Kuldeep Yadav is changing the game for India in the second innings and is making sure that his team gets on top. Ever since he was introduced into the attack, he looked threatening and it seemed that he would produce a wicket on every ball that he bowled in the match. 

Kuldeep Yadav put his team in the driver’s seat after he removed England skipper Ben Stokes. The spinner bowled a delivery that pitched around leg stump. The batter opened up for the defense and played the ball inside of the line. 

The ball from Kuldeep Yadav, however, hit the back pad and rolled over to hit the stumps. Ben Stokes did well to play the line of the leg spin but got unlucky and went back to the hut while muttering something.

Ben Stokes couldn’t get a good score with the bat as he went back in the hut for just 4 runs off 13 balls. He came to bat after England lost Zak Crawley, who was looking in good touch. The opening batter was the victim of Kuldeep Yadav as well as the leg-spinner removed him with a peach.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled a short delivery that forced backfoot play. Zak Crawley wanted to play through cover but he missed the ball completely as the ball turned big time to leave the batter in shambles and remove his stumps. 

Zak Crawley looked extremely looked with the bat as he played some crisp shots and made sure that he keeps England in the game. Despite wickets falling around him, he kept playing aggressively and raced away to a fifty. He ended with an innings of 60 runs off 91 balls. 

His wicket came on the back of brilliance planning by Kuldeep Yadav. Before the delivery that got the batter out, skipper Rohit Sharma had asked the bowler to remove the cover to let the batter play through that side. But the leg-spinner instaned that they should keep the fielder there and allow the batter to play that shot. 

Kuldeep Yadav plays a vital role for India with the bat in the first innings 

Not only with the ball, but Kuldeep Yadav changed the course of the game for India with the bat as well. He came to bat when his side was left tottering at 177/7. The leg-spinner looked rock solid at the crease and made sure that the team got close to England’s total of 353 runs. 

Kuldeep Yadav supported Dhurv Jurel (90) extremely well and the duo together added 76 runs. The leg-spinner played 131 balls in the innings, which was second most by any batter in the Indian innings. He ended with the innings of 28 runs and his knock helped the team go past 300 runs. The hosts ended with 307 runs and reduced the lead to 46 runs.
