Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan took a hilarious dig at Pakistan fans, who criticised India for the T20I series loss against West Indies. He lashed out at them, saying that they aren’t even concerned with Men in Blue but still mocking them.

India had to swallow a harsh pill as they suffered a disappointing loss against West Indies in the final T20I, which saw them losing the first bilateral series against West Indies in 17 years. They lost the first two games and then made a solid comeback, winning the next two games but lost the decider by 8 wickets.

India batted and bowled poorly in the series decider. Opting to bat first, they struggled to get going with the bat and lost wickets at regular intervals. Suryakumar Yadav (61) and Tilak Varma (27) chipped in vital knocks that took the team to a total of 165 runs.

But with the ball, things didn’t go in their favour at all. After Arshdeep Singh removed Kyle Mayers early, Nicholas Pooran and Brandon King took the game away from them and stitched 107 and won the game for the team with 8 wickets in hand.

Following India’s loss, a lot of fans from Pakistan took a dig at India for losing against a low-ranked team. They mocked Irfan Pathan, using the Sunday dig. But the former Indian all-rounder hit back at them, stating:

“Begaani Shadi mein Abdulla deewana… #sunday #padosi.”

He explained: “Congratulations to the West Indies team on a well-deserved series win! Team India must reflect on this defeat, as losing to a lower-ranked team is indeed worrisome,” he added.

India team will now be heading to Ireland for the three-match T20I series. The team will be captained by Jasprit Bumrah whereas the rest of the batters will be given rest.
