Dinesh Karthik, an experienced gloveman for India, is interested in seeing how Shahbaz Ahmed conducts himself during the ODI series against Bangladesh. The all-rounder might emulate his IPL performances in international cricket, according to the 37-year-old.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Karthik believes Shahbaz is a special player, so it will be interesting to see how he performs in 50-over games in Bangladesh.

“I am very interested in seeing how a KL Rahul adapts in the middle order and how a Virat Kohli goes because he is returning after a break and a fantastic World Cup, but I am also very interested in seeing Shahbaz Ahmed.

“I believe he is a special player; he has performed admirably for RCB, particularly against South Africa; he has performed admirably, and I am eager to see him perform in that ODI series.”

“Tigers will have plenty of crowd support against India”: Dinesh Karthik

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik added that given the Tigers’ level of play intensity, India will face strong audience support.

Karthik continued: “I am pretty sure that when India tours, Bangladesh will be one of the countries where the entire team will have way more support than India, and that is something rare to see in international cricket, and it’s also good to see because they come in big numbers and support Bangladesh,” Dinesh Karthik said.

“I actually enjoy that fact about them, and every time you play them, you could see the intensity with which they play; they try and up their game, which is always good to watch,” Dinesh Karthik added.
