Indian Cricket Team would be delighted with their performance. The Men in Blue are in the driver’s seat as Bangladesh is trailing by 271 runs with 8 wickets down and it looks unlikely that they will make a comeback. Mohammed Siraj has been quite outstanding with the new ball where he took 3 scalps.
Bangladeshi batters would be crestfallen as they didn’t put up a fight. There were high expectations from the likes of Shakib & Rahim to lead the batting attack but the duo was undone by the sheer brilliance of Kuldeep Yadav. The left-arm chinaman took 4 wickets and was quite immaculate in his line and length.
Mohammed Siraj on his bowling
Mohammed Siraj was seen attending the press conference and was asked about the match. “Red ball is my favorite. I’m more consistent in red ball because it’s all about concentrating on line and length. The credit goes to all the bowlers. My approach was to bowl consistently at one place because it is such a wicket that if you try more there are chances to leak runs. My only plan was to hit one spot and got successful.” said Mohammed Siraj.
“In 2018, my balls stopped coming inside, I started bowling out-swingers more. I got confused why balls are not coming in and that time I discovered wobble seam because it is difficult for a batter to tackle an outswing that comes in. Wobble seam is a type of an off-cutter and I got success with that.” he added.
Wake up Call for Bangladesh
The Bangladeshi fans would be dejected as now Bangladesh will require a monumental effort to make a comeback in this Test Match. Bangladeshi batters were not able to rotate the strike on a consistent basis which hurt them as they allowed the bowlers to settle.
India on the other side would be hoping that they quickly wrap up the innings as Bangladesh has the knack of throwing the surprises. It would be interesting to see how the Day 3 unfolds as a possibility of a result cannot be ruled out given the conditions.
