Indian Cricket Team is all set to clash against Bangladesh on 14th December (Thursday) for the 1st Test Match. India is missing 3 key players: Rohit Sharma, Mohammed Shami & Ravindra Jadeja which is a massive blow to the Team. The Skipper KL Rahul will have a tough task on his hands as Bangladesh has got nothing to lose which makes them a dangerous unit.

This Test Series is quite pivotal to the Men in Blue as they have to win the Series by 2-0 to keep their hopes alive of making it to World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final. It is assumed that the pitch would be spin-friendly as teams may be tempted to play with 3 spinners.

KL Rahul on England

Skipper KL Rahul was seen attending the pre-match press conference and was asked about England’s approach. “To watch, I think it’s really exciting and watching these two Test Matches against Pakistan. I have been watching the games and it is really exciting, really enjoyed watching Test Cricket being played like that very fearless and  aggressive and game on. I think that has worked for them and each team has their own way.”  said KL Rahul.

“All the teams can learn from it. Like I said it’s not always going to be the same approach, you always turn up into the conditions and assess it. There is a World Test Championship scenario and we will have to be aggressive as well and we have to qualify for the final” he added.

Stern Test for Bangladesh

The Bangladeshi Tigers would be well aware of the fact that India would be eyeing revenge for the ODI Series defeat. Bangladesh has had a forgettable WTC 2021-23 where they are at the bottom of the table. Bangladesh has failed to make a mark in this cycle even after defeating New Zealand in New Zealand.

The Skipper Shakib al Hasan will left-handed the team from the front. The left handed batter needs to make sure that the team is scoring runs in excess of 300 as that would the give them a chance. Shakib should bat at No.3 position as he is someone who can provide stability to the innings.
