India will take on Bangladesh in the third and final ODI of the three-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday, December 10. The Rohit Sharma-led side suffered back-to-back losses in their first two games. This is India’s second consecutive ODI series defeat on Bangladesh soil. Earlier in 2015, the Bangla Tigers defeated the Men in Blue 2-1 in the ODI series.

Moreover, the team suffered an injury setback with Rohit Sharma and pacers Kuldeep Sen and Deepak Chahar ruled out of the final encounter. Vice-captain KL Rahul will guide his team to save their pride by winning this match. Before the final match, some cricket experts believe that Rahul Tripathi or Rajat Patidar might get the game.

Time For A Youngster – Ajay Jadeja

Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja feels that Rahul Tripathi and Rajat Patidar should play in a dead rubber against Bangladesh. Jadeja said that when a young player is performing well and is in very good form, this is the time for him to play well.

“I am Tripathi’s huge fan because he has come in after putting the hard yards but the way I saw Patidar playing, there is a time for a youngster when he is playing well and has come through extremely good form. It will be unfair to drop anyone but when the merry-go-round is going, why do you want these two players standing in the queue,” he said on Sony Sports.

“When you are playing everyone and want to give only one match and check, this is probably the last chance, they might not be there on the next tour,” he added.

With the series already over, the management is expected to give opportunities to young players. A win here would also give the team some momentum going into the two-match Test series.
