Zaheer Khan and Michael Vaughan discussed India’s promising XI ahead of the series finale against England in Manchester.

When Team India faces England in the third and final ODI of the series on Sunday, it will be looking to make a great comeback. Given that both teams split the spoils in the first two games, the series is set up for a thrilling conclusion.

Former India cricketer Zaheer Khan believes the team could make one significant change to the starting XI.  While Zaheer argued that too many adjustments could turn out badly for India, he did suggest that Arshdeep Singh could be given a debut in place of Prasidh Krishna, who took a wicket in the previous game.

“I do not anticipate significant changes on India’s end. They have their balance under control since they have been bowling with two spinners, including Hardik Pandya.”

“Arshdeep Singh or Prasidh Krishna could be the subject of discussion when they move aside for him. If necessary, we will use the swing. That is the only change I foresee occurring. In addition to that, I do not anticipate any other changes,” Zaheer stated on Cricbuzz.

‘India go with the same side in the decider’: Michael Vaughan

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan, who’s also present, stated that he would not be shocked if India used the same lineup in the decider.

“Old Trafford is not a swinging place. I am not sure what the science is behind it, but Old Trafford would not be a stadium where it swings customarily. You must strike the pitch hard. I doubt India will make significant changes.”

“At this point, with a series on the line, I would not be amazed if they go in with the same team,” Michael Vaughan said.

The 3rd ODI match between England and India will be played on 17th July at Old Trafford, Manchester.
