India got off to a fast start, scoring 49 runs without losing thanks to openers Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. Following the departure of the duo, the similarly Virat Kohli was quickly removed for one.

As Kohli replaced the in-form Deepak Hooda, the Indian cricket team’s fans were incensed by his recent form slide. India scored 170 runs for the loss of eight wickets due mainly to Ravindra Jadeja’s quickfire unbeaten innings of 46 off just 29 balls.
