IND vs ENG: My Aim Is World Cup - Shikhar Dhawan Ready To Prove Doubters Wrong In England ODIs

In the first of three one-day internationals (ODIs) against England on July 12, Shikhar Dhawan, who has returned to the Indian ODI team, will bat alongside Rohit Sharma.
Between the 2019 and 2023 ODI World Cups, there will be two T20 World Cups, hence the last few years have seen India’s white-ball cricket heavily emphasize the shortest version of the game.

In the ODI encounter against the West Indies in Ahmedabad, Dhawan made his final outing for India. He has also been chosen to lead the team on its upcoming trip to the Caribbean, potentially indicating the management’s confidence in his abilities and knowledge as an opening batsman in ODI cricket.
Dhawan claims he has been putting in a lot of effort to make sure he is ready to give his all on Tuesday at the Oval in the first ODI matchup against England.

“I recognize the importance of being well-prepared before a tour, therefore I take care to maintain my focus on my fundamentals and preparation strategy. I spent a lot of time training for the England ODIs, and I am confident that I will be in great rhythm in the upcoming matches” said Dhawan as quoted by The Telegraph India.
‘I want to play as many matches as possible’: Shikhar Dhawan
India’s success in ICC tournaments is credited in large part to the left-handed batter. He earned two hundred in the 2015 World Cup and was an important part of the team that won the Champions Trophy in 2013.
India will play a three-match One-Day International series against England before heading to the Caribbean for three ODIs and three T20Is, led by Dhawan, who will look to cement the trust that has been placed in him since his return to the national team.
