Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant led the way during the post-series celebrations as he wildly sprayed champagne bottles while Rohit Sharma was keen on having their pictures clicked.

Pant played a match-winning knock of 125 off just 119 balls in the third and final ODI to help India chase down the target of 260 with 47 balls to spare. He was well-aided by Hardik Pandya, who himself contributed with figures of 4/24 in the first innings and a 55-ball 71 in the run chase.

After being handed the trophy, Rohit and co. were on the podium ready to get pictures clicked. Pant began spraying wildly while Rohit was seen saying: “Photo toh lelo yar (Guys, at least take the photo first).

The youngster, Arshdeep Singh, was then handed the trophy, a gesture that is often seen during India’s celebrations following a series victory.

“At no point, we felt they were panicking” – Rohit Sharma on Hardik-Pant

Rohit was pleased with the performance from the middle-order and said the duo of Hardik and Pant were looking calm and relaxed out in the centre.

Very pleased. Came here, wanted to achieve something as a group in white ball. We were here last time and were beaten, I remember that. Positive side of it, these guys haven’t batted much in the middle overs.

Today we got to see that with Hardik and Rishabh. At no point we felt they were panicking. They backed themselves and played cricketing shots,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Rohit was also particularly happy with the way Yuzvendra Chahal returned to the team and bowled, especially considering how strong England is in the batting department.

He’s a critical member for us (Chahal). Has got so much experience bowling in all formats. Pretty pleased with how he’s come back after the WC,” he also added.
