Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow ended up in a minor altercation on Day 3 of the Edgbaston Test as things began to heat up in the fifth and final Test between England and India.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami carried on from where they left off on Day 2. They extracted movement from the surface and were able to trouble the English overnight batting duo of Bairstow and Ben Stokes.
After a few plays and misses, the chatter from behind the stumps grew and Bairstow seemed to have responded with words of his own. Kohli, clearly unhappy, had a chat with Bairstow before the umpires intervened.
