Later, Ishan Kishan and Deepak Hooda opened the innings for India. Kishan slammed a quickfire knock of 26 runs, however, was dismissed by Craig Young soon. Suryakumar Yadav arrived to bat at no.3 but got out on the first ball for a duck.
Later, Hardik Pandya scored 24 runs for the team, smashing 3 sixes. Deepak Hooda remained unbeaten on the crease and slammed 47 runs to drive India to victory by 7 wickets in the end. Yuzvendra Chahal, who picked 1 wicket and conceded just 11 runs in his 3 overs, was awarded the player of the match award.
